Have you seen or heard about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1? If you never heard about it then this is good news for you mainly because I’m going to reveal the naked truth about the digital camera. You only need to spend 2 minutes on my site and you’ll know the truth.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1I’ve been using my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 for over a month now and am quite satisfied with its performance. Individuals who are real sticklers for image high quality in this size-range must genuinely be looking into either the LX3 or the G10, but individuals aren’t waterproof, weatherproof, and shock resistant (which should make up a big part from the reason why you’re considering this digital camera). I looked at sample shots from the other waterproof cameras from Pentax, Olympus, Fuji, and Canon. The only one that proves competitive is the Canon D10. Inside center in the frame of wide-angle shots, the image quality with the D10 is clearly far better than that with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1, but as you move out to the edges (especially toward the proper, upper corner of horizontal shots) there is excessive softness inside D10 images and they become worse than the TS1.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 displays some minor softness throughout the image, and isn’t as sharp as the D10 at the center in the frame, but is consistent in detail and sharpness levels throughout the entire frame.

Now a single on the most crucial aspects of a digital camera besides photo good quality is battery life. Obviously without having batteries, even the quite greatest digital cameras are nothing a lot more than a paperweight. As a comparison, my Sony DSC-T500 with its actally incredibly good 3.5″ touch screen is often a battery hog. After fully charging a battery, I would get an average 30-50 pictures along with appox. 10-15 minutes max of AVCHD video before the battery was drained. Those huge touchscreens are terrible for batteries and in my opinion, harder to navigate via than standard buttons. Now in comparison, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 was A lot Very much far better. I started with a complete battery and was able to get on only 1 charge — 75 photos with flash, 75 pictures without the need of flash, complete zoom cycle 100 times and 90 minutes of AVCHD video set at the highest settings. I was employing a Transcend 16gb sdhc card. This alone makes this digital camera 100% greater than the Sony. Not to mention the photo excellent is greater, it uses cheaper priced easier to find sdhc cards and has the HDMI and A/V ports built into the digital camera instead of having to use a docking station for these features.

It actually is a wonderful digital camera for everyday use as well as slightly much more extreme situations. While not as small as some of the other Panasonic cameras, it is still very pocketable. With the waterproof and shockproof situation, AVCHD video function, which by the way is super simple to use with its own dedicated record button, EXCELLANT battery life, wonderful photos and usefull accessories (i.e. deep water situation), it will now be the only point and shoot camera I will use.

ViewSonic VT2430 24-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV surprise me

Have you see the ViewSonic VT2430 24-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV?. If never see it then it’s pity because you are losing opportunities to see one oh the best HDTV in the market

ViewSonic VT2430 24-Inch 1080p LCD HDTVI chose this TV because I live in a studio and don’t have enough room for both a TV screen along with a computer screen. I was already using my computer to enjoy movies and living without a TV, but only a great deal can be obtained online (particularly live events). It was very hard to find a screen with high enough resolution to work as a computer monitor, but this TV would have been a perfect match!

First, on television attributes, the display quality is great and several non-HD channels deliver an option to “zoom” and fill the screen if needed. I also have a 20-yr old Nintendo and also a 25 year old Atari, another excuse for getting the TV, which work terrific and automatically stretch to fill the entire widescreen without a lot of distortion. My only gripes are channel management is a bit clunky and the blue power button right on the front is a bit of a distraction. Sound can be mediocre but obviously you aren’t gonna find $500 speakers over a $300 TV. I output the TV through my receiver stereo speakers and also the sound is a lot much better.

The PC image obtained with the VT2430 is absolutely awesome. I’m typing this review with this particular monitor with the resolution set at 1920×1080, a perfect match with my PC. There are at least 10 other resolution settings that work as well – just lower resolution results. Regardless of the resolution sent from my PC, the VT2430 automatically adjusts for the best picture with each setting. Very neat.

Overall I’m very pleased with this TV and it suits the purpose for which I purchased it: a 12×12 room with VESA wall-mount. The looks is excellent and it’s very user friendly
